Moroccan cuisine:

Hi every body ,so today I'm going to share with you something important which    belongs to my culture: Moroccan cuisine.
Moroccan cuisine is typically mediterranean and it is also a mix of Berber and Andalousian cuisine . It is made essentially of fresh products, olive oil and spices. The dishe I love most is "moroccan meat balls.
It is familial, convivial, light and easy to prepare. I love to prepare  it  and share it with my friends on sundays and picnics;and don't forget to keep some for your neighbours!!!
Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
350g pack ready-made beef or chiken meatballs (appro 16)
1 large onion, sliced
100g dried apricots, halved
1 small cinnamon stick
400 tin chopped tomatoes with garlic
25g toasted flaked almonds
handful coriander roughly chopped

This is the method:
1.     Heat the oil in a large deep frying pan, then fry the meatballs for 10 mins, turning occasionally until cooked through. Scoop out of the pan and set aside, then cook the onion for 5 mins, until softened.
2.   Add the dried apricots, cinnamon stick, tomatoes and half a can of water to the pan, then bring to the boil and simmer for 10 mins. Remove the cinnamon stick. Return the meatballs to the pan and coat well with the tomato sauce. Serve sprinkled with the almonds and coriander.

      Good appetite !

  3. Hi there! My name is Emily. That dish looks really good! My family and I eat meatballs too. They are prepared differently but I feel like this would be a fun way to try something new but not completely new. One last thing, what are coriander?

  4. Hello! Your dish looks amazing! It's defiantly different from the kind of dishes we have here in America. I wish we had foods like this where I live!

  5. I love meatballs! These look so good. I need to try these one day. The meatballs here in the US are a little different with less spices but the same concept. You seem like a really good cook. Keep up the good work. Hope to hear from you soon!
